I saw a very similar fruit tree in Samara (Costa-Rica). The fruit shell is very hard. When the fruit is opened, the inside is coming dark very quickly and liquefies. The taste is like prune nectar with a bit of cinnamon-like taste. I don't know what is this fruit but it's not too bad! I can send you a picture of this fruit for comparison!
